November's one-sentence book reviews
Very, very late... but here now!
-----------------------------------------
⭐⭐⭐⭐
A Room with a View by E.M. Forster
Way more of a social commentary than a romance.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt
Highly entertaining if not a bit too drawn out. (I proudly still read middle-grade fiction.)
⭐⭐⭐
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Interesting idea, all plot, no real characters.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Copenhagen by Michael Frayn
Magnificent meld of science, philosophy, emotion, and plain good writing. (Probably my favorite read of the year. ❤️)
